Is the Dyson Airwrap included in the Black Friday sales?

If you want to bag a saving on one of Dyson's high-end styling tools, the best time to shop is during a sales event, such as Black Friday and Cyber Monday. And while it's still weeks away, there are many early deals to be had already – and we can expect big things for the main event at the end of November. Then, after Cyber Week, the next chance for discounts is the Boxing Day and January sales.

The 2024 Cyber Week sales saw notable savings on the Airwrap via the Dyson website, with discounts of up to £80 and plenty of free gifts. Similar deals were also available to shop at big retailers like as Argos, Sephora and John Lewis, all offering £80 off the multi-styler. For even more bang for shoppers' buck, there were plenty of chances to snap up a refurbished hair tool for a fraction of the price through Dyson's eBay Outlet store, too. These fleeting deals are impressive, running all year round, so our advice would be to be quick when deliberating a purchase.

How long do Dyson deals last?

While we wished we knew the answer to this question, it is very subjective depending on the retailer and time of year – true of any sale and any big hairstyling purchase. But one thing is for sure: deals on any Dyson hair tool don't hang around for long and you also risk everyone snapping them up until they're out of stock (especially when we're talking about the Black Friday and Cyber Weekend sales). So, if you spot one, it's worth nabbing it before it disappears.

Dyson Airwrap shopping advice

If you're on a mission to buy a discounted Dyson hair tool, the key is to always be on the ball and keep your eye consistently out for deals, as they'll typically only be on sale for a very limited time or will sell out quickly. We can appreciate this is easier said than done, so we've shared our ultimate top tips for nabbing a money-saving deal on the sought-after styler – plus, we'll keep this page up to date with the latest and greatest deals.

How much does the Dyson Airwrap cost?

There have been a few different iterations of the Dyson Airwap since the original first launched in 2018. Today, the brand offers two key models (with the option to customise your bundle), with various attachments available to suit different styles and hair types. Being very familiar with the entire Dyson hair portfolio, we've put together the need-to-know information about the differences, including pricing, below.

  • Dyson Airwrap i.d.â„¢ Multi-Styler and Dryer: Featuring the option for Bluetooth connectivity and programming via an app, the Dyson Airwrap i.d.â„¢ is available in two ready-to-go bundles, Curly + Coily and Straight + Wavy. While both come with curling barrels and brush attachments, the main difference is that Curly + Coily bundle comes with a diffuser and wide-tooth comb, while the Straight + Wavy has an extra curling barrel and flyaway attachment. This retails for £479.99 in the UK.
  • Dyson Airwrap Co-anda 2xâ„¢ Multi-Styler and Dryer: The newest edition of the Airwrap levels up the tool's signature Co-anda effect with higher-powered airflow thanks to a new motor. There's also a new attachment, the AirSmooth2xâ„¢, for creating a smoother, straighter style. This retails for £579.99 in the UK.
  • Dyson Airwrap Styler Origin: With a slightly lower retail price of £399.99, this older model is a great option for those who don't want or need as many add-ons, coming with fewer attachments and accessories.

Which Airwrap model should I buy?

At an initial glance, there isn't a hugely noticeable difference between the two models, however, with further research you'll discover that each styler has been designed with different hair types in mind – making the choice between the two, a pretty important one.

  • Straighter hair: Arriving with less attachments, the Origin is specially geared towards drying and curling, meaning it will work best on naturally straighter hair or those wanting to add loose yet bouncy curls. Meanwhile the Straight + Wavy bundle of the i.d. has all the attachments you could need, with the added bonus of app-powered styling.
  • Curly, frizzy or thicker hair: The Curly + Coily bundle is definitely better suited to those with naturally curly, frizzy or thicker strands, particularly if you like to style your hair curly, thanks to the array of accompanying styling attachments – including a diffuser, flyaway controller and wide tooth comb.

Dyson boasts myriad styling attachments, including some newer releases, that you can purchase separately to add to your tool. However, each attachment will set you back £30, so if you're looking to invest in a fair few then it may actually be worth opting for one of the ready-made bundles instead.

Where is the best place to buy the Dyson Airwrap?

When it comes to shopping the Airwrap, there are a multitude of UK stockists where you can buy the tool, as well as the Dyson website, including John Lewis, Sephora, Boots and Argos. Deals on the highly-desired styler may be few and far between, but make sure to come back to this guide to avoid missing out on snagging a great saving on a new Airwrap.

Should I buy a refurbished Airwrap?

If you're wanting to try the tool for yourself, but you're not willing to splurge, Dyson's refurbished line at eBay is a great place to shop. Whilst some shoppers may not like the idea of pre-owned hair tech, these models are refurbished by Dyson engineers to work as well as if they were brand new. Available to shop at both at Dyson and through eBay's Dyson outlet, these tools are vetted and guaranteed for one year.

Is the Dyson Airwrap actually worth buying?

The biggest question on most of our minds, is this cult classic hair tool actually worth the splurge? Woman&home's Millie Fender and Amelia Yeomans put the styler to the test on their different hair types.

"I've got the most unruly, frizzy hair and I have absolutely no problems when it comes to holding a curl," Millie says. "When I first bought the Airwrap, I thought I'd use the barrel rollers most, but I've actually become a lot more dependent on the volumising brush to get a blowout effect that stays smooth for days. My boyfriend also uses the smoothing brush every morning in place of a hairdryer, so it's definitely an investment that's paid off over the past year."

After bleaching her hair, Amelia loves the gentle nature of the Airwrap on her strands: "I can get a gorgeous smooth blow dry with my Airwrap, and I know that it isn't hurting the health of my hair, which is a huge plus for me," she says. "I also love that it takes my wavy hair from wet to straight with several different attachments depending on the style I'm after, which saves me a lot of time."

However, Amelia says the Dyson may not be heavy-duty enough to create more intricate styles for those with thicker and drier strands. "I would say that, due to the condition of my hair, it requires quite high heat to hold styles like curls and beachy waves," she explains. "The Airwrap doesn't quite get hot enough to keep curls intact all day, so other curling tools that can get to 200°C+ tend to work better for me. I usually use the Airwrap curl tools when I want a looser wave to my hair – it does that perfectly for me."
