When it comes to Boden sale shopping, I'm a pro. Here are my top tips for navigating it to get the most for your money
I've shopped at Boden for years, these are the Boden sale items I'd invest in that will max out their cost-per-wear in your wardrobe
I make no secret of my love of British clothing brand Boden, but as a premium retailer, this is very much investment shopping over quick buys. But if you're still looking to shop at this royal and celebrity-approved retailer for less, my top tip? Keep an eye on the Boden sale page, as this is where you'll find out-of-season buys that can still bolster your autumn capsule wardrobe.
Currently sitting with over 1300 products in, there are great options across the board, from Boden swimwear to fanciful dresses, cosy knits and elegant separates. It's particularly good if you're jetting off over the winter months, as you will find a lot of summer stock, but there are trans-seasonal and timeless pieces in there too.
One of my favourite things about Boden is how reliable the brand is when it comes to cuts and sizing, so if you have key skirt and dress silhouettes that you like, for example, you can snap up some sale buys with up to 60% off, and everything has a classic fit but with Boden's strong use of colour and print.
My top Boden sale picks
Generally speaking, I find Boden's biggest hitters sell out super fast, but I was pleasantly surprised by the stock and size options for several pieces in the Boden sale. While of course some items had limited availability, if, like me, you love colour and print and the slightly more maximalist styles, there is plenty to choose from.
Although I recognise several pieces from the summer season, I'm big on layering for autumn outfit ideas and don't always put summer items away for the winter; instead, I think about new ways to wear summer favourites to maximise their cost per wear, and that's when shopping the sale becomes a fashion-savvy idea.
So if you've checked out sales and clicked off because the stock seems too high-summer, think again, and recalibrate how you can make items work for now. From slipping roll necks on under dresses to adding chunky cardigans and boots, don't discount the summer frocks. But, as always, and most importantly, don't just buy something because the discount is good. Think about your current wardrobe, how you can make an item work with existing favourites and how much wear you will really get out of something.
Boden dresses
Floral prints are a staple of the Boden brand, and this tiered silhouette with empire line cut is a chic, flattering shape that you can rely on. This one admittedly feels quite summery, although with a tan suede jacket and boots, I'd wear this in cooler climes too.
Green and pink is a great, but often overlooked colour combination that can work year round. Keep shoes, bags and coats neutral, opting for autumnal brown hues to accent the vibrancy of this look. Another dress you can wear come rain or shine.
Not hugely dissimilar, I love the fresh take on tile prints here. This staple style always comes back around in the summer months, inspired by the summer holiday mood. To make this design work in November, layer it over a burgundy roll neck and add a pair of tonal boots or loafers.
This chevron knitted dress is the preppy powerhouse your wardrobe has been missing. A great option from autumn all the way through til late spring, the design is reminiscent of Missoni, while the red, white and blue give it a timely and neutral finish.
Boden's jersey dresses are just one of many classic style staples from the brand that regularly get reinvented into new colourways and prints. This cheetah print is one I can guarantee you'll be wearing for years to come, as fierce feline fashion remains at the forefront.
Boden tops
Another chevron beauty, this design is full of colour and delivers a lovely riff on the stripes trend that is set to carry on into the summer of 2026. The collared design gives a nod to rugby shirts, and I love the relaxed fit that makes this great for wearing with jeans.
Part of the reason Boden pieces can be so expensive is the luxurious and high-quality finishes of the items. This shirt features a chic embroidery that ups the ante on stylish tops to wear with jeans combinations. The autumnal palette is perfect for right now too.
A silk shirt is the quiet luxury look that will make even basic white jeans outfits feel more expensive. Stripes is a pattern that rarely goes out of fashion, and this bold blue and white design has a timeless quality that you can wear for years to come.
Boden knitwear
Christmas is coming, and that means it is time to get your best knitwear out. This festive fancy tank is perfect for the months ahead. I can't quite believe it's in the sale, and with plenty of sizes too. The bold colour pattern makes it easy to layer over tees, roll-necks or blouses of all kinds and hues.
If you're wondering what to wear on Christmas Day, let me introduce you to this festive sweater. The colour combination plus the Fair-Isle style print firmly root it to this time of year, and you can wear it with everything from jeans or trousers to a swishy skirt.
There is something about bold knitted stripes that just boosts the endorphins, and this happy cotton knit jacket certainly ticks the box. A great layering piece you can use it to brighten up tailored trouser outfits, or add a cosy touch to pretty midi dresses.
Boden trousers/skirts
I love an A-line skirt, the fit and flare silhouette is ideal for flattering curves, highlighting and nipping in waistlines and balancing hips and fuller busts. The green and white stripes are reminiscent of summer deckchairs and candy canes so it's a winner year through.
The bold and the beautiful, this A-line midi skirt is not for the fainthearted. The multi-coloured print has a delightful fiesta vibe that will brighten up even the greyest weather. Team with boots and a chunky knit for right now, before adding a tee and sandals in the summer.
A pair of well-cut cotton trousers is the backbone of a capsule wardrobe, and this navy pair can be worn, like many of the Boden sale items, all year round. Available in a range of bolder shades too, I love the timelessness of the navy, and they're a great alternative to black
Boden jackets/coats
Somewhere between a maximalist barn jacket and a trophy jacket, this loud and proud printed design offers a fun twist on spring and autumn outerwear. Ideal over block coloured midi dresses or for dressing up denim, the quilted design will add light seasonal warmth.
This is a fairly staple style for Boden, with each season bringing a similar silhouette in timely colours or prints that coordinate with the rest of the collection. This fun floral design is ideal for teaming with classic denim for a burst of dopamine-inducing brightness.
When it comes to the best waterproof jackets, if you don't want to go super high tech and sporty, I have found my Boden raincoat a worthy partner in drizzly weather. This bold floral design will make you smile even in a downpour, and even better, it's on sale.
Boden jeans
Sailor-style jeans might not be making headlines as the denim trend of the season, but this flattering silhouette is definitely one to investigate. With a high waist, flat front and wide-leg design, these are great for supporting curves and elongating your legs.
A high rise waist and a straight-leg is just about the most classic silhouette you can buy and honestly, this is a shape that is genuinely universally flattering. Close enough to a skinny but with more staying power when it comes to defying trend, these are a total steal.
Boden shoes/boots
Giving us all the Chanel vibes but for a fraction of the price, ballet pumps are once again on the agenda when it comes to the autumn/winter shoe trends 2025. This black and beige combination is so elegant, and all for under £50, what a win.
If you're looking for the best Birkenstock alternatives, these leopard print lovelies are stepping straight to the top of my sandal wishlist. The blanket stitch around, the side, teamed with the bold print and striking gold buckles makes these slip-ons look designer.
The contrast colouring on these trainers plays straight into the trainer trend handbook of 2025. While we still love our best white trainers, this season is all about punchy coloured footwear and this pink and black combination is chic yet bold.
Boden swimwear
If you didn't know, Boden is actually pretty well regarded when it comes to swimwear and not just for their beach-ready prints. With a mix of two and one pieces, Boden swimwear is crafted for curves, with flattering high waists, clever colour block panelling and figure-lengthening prints.
This retro floral print is giving all the 70s feels and the bright hues are perfect for those looking to jet away this winter. The deep V-neckline is flattering on the bust, while the colourful print is ideal for flattering waists, especially thanks to the gentle gathering through the middle.
Stripes are set to be a trend for many months to come and stripey swimwear, where the lines go from top to bottom actually helps to lengthen your figure as it draws the eye up your silhouette. The empire line cut is great for bust support, and this design is only £32.
Boden sale shopping tips
Sale shopping in any space can feel overwhelming, but after working in the fashion industry for twenty years, I have created a few rules for myself to make is slightly easier. When it comes to the Boden sale, these are my top tips:
Sign up to our free daily email for the latest royal and entertainment news, interesting opinion, expert advice on styling and beauty trends, and no-nonsense guides to the health and wellness questions you want answered.
- Keep an eye out during the season: Essentially this means, know the collection before items get into the sale. Even if a brand is price prohibitive, if you love it, a sale is a great way of snapping up items for less, but if you've already ear-marked a few favourites pre-sale you'll have a little list of items you actually want when the discounts roll in.
- Don't be led by the % off, follow your heart: This doesn't mean don't think about your purchases, but it does mean don't convince yourself into buying something because it's got loads of money off. If you wouldn't want it at full price (even if you can't get it then), don't buy it just because it's 60% off, it's still 40% on.
- What else will it go with? Even if you do love something in the sale, consider how and when you will wear it. Ideally you want it to go with or be useful for at least 3 different outfits or occasions so that you can be sure it will maximise its cost per wear.
- Use the filter functionality: Even though I spend all day looking at clothes, seeing 1300+ items on the all clothing sale page can overwhelm me. Use the filter system on site to cut down to your specific size and then go through categories individually. It will mean you're only looking at items you could actually get in your size and you're looking at far fewer items at a time.
FAQs
How often does Boden go on sale?
While Boden does run offers throughout the year, including online discount codes, they actually have a constant sale section that is always active. The level of product in it fluctuates, but there is always an option to scroll through the Boden sale section.
