I got my hands on Marks and Spencer's bestselling Christmas light-up candle - it's every bit worth the hype
Looking to add a festive glow to your home this cosy season? This brilliant Marks & Spencer candle will do just that and more
Every autumn, I look forward to hunting down the very best cosy candles to see me through dreary weather and dark evenings. This year, a certain bestselling glittering candle from Marks and Spencer caught my eye, and once I managed to snap it up, I knew why it'd been selling out so fast.
When it comes to resetting my home for autumn, I try to find candles that relax and soothe, as well as make my home smell delicious. Another condition I always like to keep in mind is how a candle looks in my space, and if there's a light-up element. Well, consider it already in my basket.
So, on my lookout for one of the best autumn candles to warm up my space and make my home cosy this season, I knew this offering from M&S couldn't be more perfect.
Marks & Spencer's best-selling light-up candle
Whether you're on the hunt for the best Christmas candle or are looking for ways to make your house smell good, there's no lack of options out there on the home fragrance market. In fact, it can be hard to choose a candle these days with so many options available. That's why I like it when one has a unique selling point.
And that's exactly what Marks and Spencer's are offering with their Marks and Sparkle range. This two-wick candle is surrounded by golden glitter-filled gel and illuminated by the LED lights that wrap around the candle.
The real magic, however, comes when the lights turn on. These are triggered by a small sensor which detects the infrared light from the burning wick. Pair that with a refreshing yet cosy autumnal scent, and I'll be buying multiples of this candle to get me through the autumn and winter months ahead.
RRP: £15 | I never thought I'd be so impressed with a candle, but the light-up feature paired with the refreshing citrus scent has made this my new autumn home staple. It's gone out of stock a few times now, so I'd recommend acting quickly!
Aside from the lights, which are a perfect way to brighten a dark room on an autumnal evening, the fragrance notes are utterly delicious.

With top notes of neroli, lime and bergamot, the candle has a refreshing and timeless citrus scent. However, thanks to the bergamot, the aroma has a warming cosiness to it as well.
The blend of herbal fragrances and oils can also help you feel more soothed and relaxed. Only the best scented candles can make you feel better for having them burning, and this is certainly one of them.
The only downfall to this charming candle is that after its 20-hour burn time, the magic is over.
Unless you fill it with a tea light, that is. However, if you want timeless twinkling lights, M&S also sells a one-wick version with two refills, which means gold-glittering whimsy for months to come.
It's no wonder these candles are selling out so quickly, even though the brand has expanded its range with iconic landmark designs and, of course, charming Christmas versions too.

RRP: £15 | This is the silver version, but with added Christmas energy thanks to the snowflakes and reindeer that are featured in the candle's winter scene. It's also scented with a warming apple and spice fragrance perfect for the season.
RRP: £15 | Another incredibly popular light-up candle, this nutcracker version with adorable fluffy evergreen trees is next on my list. Similar to the silver candle, this one is also scented with winter apple and spice. Utterly delicious!
RRP: £20 | With two refills, this light-up candle will warm up your home straight through to the new year. You simply remove the candle from the light-up jar, add a refill, and continue enjoying the citrus scent and charming glow.
So don't be left disappointed this season and get your hands on one of these popular light-up candles before the shelves are empty. I, for one, cannot wait to enjoy the glow and fragrance all autumn long.
Looking to scent-scape your home for autumn and winter? Why not try out some essential oils and diffusers alongside your new twinkling candle? That way, there won't be a room in the house that doesn't smell fantastic and festive.
